The Children's Blizzard was a surprising blizzard since children in Nebraska and North Dakota went to school without coats and by the time they were sent home it was -40 with wind chill. 235 died in this storm.  Finally the Super Bowl Blizzard that started in the Pacific Ocean and crossed the Rockies. It had a record low of 961 millibars. Forty seven tornadoes were caused by this storm. Only 60 died from this storm but farm animals were not so lucky.
